We got cleaned up and dressed for dinner and headed downstairs to do some people watching. This is literally one of my favorite things to do on a cruise ship - and this ship proved no exception. Some people's definition of formal night is alone very interesting!!! We spent a few minutes hanging around the Martini bar (which happens to be right outside of the dining room!) and then headed for dinner. This is where things started to go a bit haywire. We had made a reservation, and were seated with our preferred waitstaff within a few minutes......and for some reason our 3 course dinner took almost 2 hours. It appeared the waitstaff was very overworked (apparently everyone came to eat at 6pm tonight!) and things were running very slow..... We were hoping to make the 8:30 showtime, and they hold reserved seats for suite guests so we didn't think this would be a huge problem, until it took almost 20 minutes to get a cappucino, which we finally gave up on at 828pm. Even then, we only missed the seats by about 2 minutes, so we'd have to wait until the 10:30pm show if we wanted to see it. We headed for our fave hangout (martini bar) and spent the next 2 hours chatting with random people at the bar, which was actually quite fun. The show started at 1030, but we headed down there about 1015 to get our seats (they were awesome) and it was remarkably uncrowded. The show is called Eclipse (yes, after the ship!) and is very Cirque du Soleil like. The pictures are a little blurry, but you get the idea I think.
We then headed for bed, as we had plans for a tour of Grenada when we arrived tomorrow! It's the first time we've been there before, so it should be a lot of fun!!!
